Richard Cope, CEO and founder of NanoLumens, a display technology innovator that has combined a comprehensive portfolio of patented technologies to create thin, flexible, lightweight digital video displays, is a visionary with more than 25 years of intense leadership experience and results. A successful CEO, President, CTO, COO, Combat Commander, Venture Capitalist, and Fundraiser, his extensive high-tech, high-growth experience has quickly moved numerous companies from the levels of research to sustainable revenue.

A Retired Marine Corps Officer (Special Ops Advisor to Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf for Desert Storm, head of Marine Corps Missile R&D), Mr. Cope has utlized his Marine Corps training by delivering that same determination and persistence to his professional career endeavors.

Mr. Cope has been the president of US Electricar and H Power Corp, served as the COO and CTO for Enrev Corporation, founded and served as a General Partner for Atlanta Technology Advisors, and is currently the CEO of NanoLumens.

Mr. Cope is often a guest lecturer at institutions such as the Emory School of Business, Georgia Tech, Mercer College, University of Georgia, and the Technology Executives Roundtable. He has also testified before Congress, and has been awarded numerous trademarks and patents. An author  of numerous technical articles, Cope has been interviewed by various television, radio, and print outlets such as Discover, Time, Newsweek, the New York Times and the LA Times. He has also been quoted extensively in three books.

Mr. Cope has won awards for his achievements in business including the Breakthrough Technology Award, the Top Ten Innovation Award, the Spirit of Endeavor Award, the Termans Award, Entrepeneur of the Year, and the Wall Street Journal’s Worldwide Innovation Award, to name a few. He is also an avid participant of micro lending in underdeveloped countries, partnering with organizations such as Opportunity International.
