galoheadshot TEDxPhysical Educator and creator of The Movement Project

After leaving his job as a financial analyst in New York City, Galo set out to follow his passion for human movement. Along with being a Crossfit coach, Galo leads movement workshops and group classes and has worked with several artists, entrepreneurs & startups. Inspired by the work of Sir Ken Robinson, Galo’s mission is to transform the culture of movement and physical education with a richer conception of human creativity and intelligence. He started his project, The Movement Project, as a means to document and explore what his own Phys Ed curriculum would look like. A curriculum that isn’t confined to just one discipline, one that doesn’t focus on increasing specialization, but focuses more on the cross-pollinating of ideas and stories from many different areas of study – literature, anthropology, science, art, design, philosophy, history, psychology, and more.
