His fascination with comprehending the world around him began in childhood when he disassembled his toys and keenly observed nature. Born in China, Dr. Yu emigrated to Houston, Texas at age 11 and his fascination with technology took him to NASA as an intern during high school. Upon graduating Georgia Tech with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, he developed toxic gas sensors for the Department of Homeland Security. Dr. Yu resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife and infant daughter.
George is on mission to change the world by giving people all over the world the ability to better measure the world around them, from temperature to radiation, from color to air quality.
