Exciting news! Participants of TEDActive 2011 in Palm Springs will experience a little bit of Atlanta.

All 250 attendees of the TEDx Conference will receive a free copy of clarinetist Alcides Rodriguez’s CD, “The Venezuelan Clarinet.” Rodriguez, a bass clarinetist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), received a standing ovation for after his musical finale at TEDxPeachtree last November. Rodriguez holds a master’s degree in music performance from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Baylor University. Alcides is a board member of the Atlanta Music Project and also a graduate of Venezuela’s “El Sistema” program.
